Kane was absolutely outstanding today other than when he looked like he might get drawn into handbags with their right back. Grafted himself into the ground. Didn’t stop for 90 minutes.

I thought it was his best overall game for us. Good going forwards and great tracking back. I’m sometimes over critical of Adam because he has so much ability but sometimes lacks application but not tonight.

I've been unconvinced by Phillips at times but he was majestic tonight. Seemed to be everywhere and win everything.

Luca is head and shoulders above anything else in the squad. And the league.

Luca Connell. That young lad is the personification of class and could play in a suit.

Quite a few, Connell, Kitch, Philips, Mads. Gone for Thomas cos I'm not sure I've voted for him yet!

Connell for me, today. Was Andersen last week, but Connell pips it for me this time around.

His composure, elegance, stamina, control... everything is absolutely brilliant. He shouldn't be anywhere near a league one squad and we're incredibly lucky to have him.

On a side note, I actually thought Kane had his worse game for a while. Few misplaced passes, I remember at least 2 wrong decisions he made when on the counter, and slowed things down earlier on when we were on the front foot allowing Bolton to get into place defensively. He does that little trick & turn far too often and it doesn't take long to wise up to it, and I don't like how long it takes for him to get up when he's looking at and pointing to ref - in saying that I don't think he had a bad game, just average, what I will praise him on is his work ethic, thought he held the defensive shape extremely well and didn't shirk out of anything - he'd get 6 from me, just thought it was worth mentioning since some thought Kane had a brilliant game, funny how we all see different things!

Worst 2 for us Cole and Kane. Both good at stifling the press.

Disagree entirely with this. The press wasn’t stifled, it was a more selective press by design. Duff probably remembered what Bolton did to us in January when they could’ve been three up even before the red card.

I thought Kane stifled us in attack, by keep checking onto his left and then going backwards but off ball he was excellent. Covered a ton of ground and worked his socks off even when clearly exhausted.

Thought everyone had a decent to a very good game, but Connell was on another level. Mads not far behind, apart from the pass back.

I think you need to watch the game back and watch the press. It was executed very well by all forwards Cole and tedic especially. We let Bolton have the ball and pressed when needed limited them to nothing and they had no answers. At times they got the ball and the forwards would hold block the pass and wait to press. Fans in the crowd would be screaming get him etc, what did you want them to run around like headless chickens and get passed through.

I know nothing about football, and so sometimes I'm hesitant in voting in these things. However, I went for Kane, and I'm pleased to see others see the game my way.
