Getting passed between earl and mdg unfortunately. You see a lot less moments of brilliance at the exciting end of the pitch when you focus on getting the possession matrix up at the boring end. Something we've done ever since our former CEO publicly admitted that non-football decision makers at the club had made the decision to change the clubs tactics and long term "strategy"
It just goes to show, if any proof was needed how pointless and practically worthless those 3-5 min videos clips of players are. If that was in Bazza's clips you'd be expecting Saka turning up. That's clearly Bazza but clearly not the Bazza we've seen in 3 years. Those videos of players doing 'their stuff' ort to come with at least a caveat of.. 'this is actually not the player you're going to get'.. Or even come along side a video of their f'erkups. As daft as it sounds it's just like false advertising. The old, 'you can prove owt wi stats'.. ort to be changed to, ' you can prove owt with a good video editor' And one of the reasons why until we go back to the old days of scouting players.. watching em for game after game, week in week out you'll keep getting duds.. This didn't start out to be a rant but it's so glaringly obvious how easy it is to be hoodwinked these days by technology.
Hoodwinked? Well he must’ve been hoodwinking the bbs last season because he was in the top two of the player of the season table for much of last season and only dropped to third towards the end despite hardly playing in the new year
That's the end of the pitch that he needs to be played in, I think he'd have been great cover for our wingers next season.
