Anyone have any suggestions for player I can do owt about it but I was wondering what people thought. My suggestion is will it ever be possible to actually watch the match live on player. I rather watch the match live without commentary than listen to commentators commentate about it. They could stream it live on player?? Because when you think about we are mainly paying to listen to something that we can listen to on the radio and wouldn't you want value for money. Plus you can see some interviews on YouTube. Your thoughts????
Nope, won't ever happen due to 3pm matches not been able to be broadcast live in the UK. If your lucky you may pick up a stream every now and then if we are a featured game but other than that no Sent from my X5pro using Tapatalk
No way would they risk less fans paying for a free streaming service. Not to mention I don't think they can until whoever holds the right show the highlights first.
From what I've heard, Barnsley TV is not too long away. Obviously, won't be part of the current player deal, unless they charge a lot more for it.
Techincally, I believe it's possible now with the player platform. At least Peterborough did it with the pre-season game. I'd expect there'd have to be agreement from all the football league clubs before this happened and I wouldn't expect it to be cheap so it didn't impact attendances. It would also have to tie in with the current TV deal. The final issue is that its currently against Football League and FA regulations to broadcast a match in the UK between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday. (Dates back to the 60s) I've heard that it is/has been looked at though by the FL
I don't live in range of Radio Dee Dar FM or AM and live commentary is not available via the web so unless there's a hooky feed, my only option is to use the player.
Fev Rovers where doing it for away games and posting the link onto their Facebook page, but where stopped from doing it by the RFL as sky own all broadcast rights. Was decent quality in the end too
The only way that the club would ever put live games on player, is if they were charging 'AT LEAST' the same as they do for a match ticket. The day that happens is the day we begin playing our home games at the Dorothy Hyman. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Also, I feel for £5 a month or whatever it is, it is incredible value for money Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
No, I haven't got the hang of that yet... It's the thoughts of someone involved with the barnsley player set up.
They have proved over the years they can't even produce a DVD without c*cking it up, so I'm afraid I don't have much confidence for the quality of Barnsley TV.
