I parked in the Graham's Orchard car park at 13:31 this aft, was off to 1 Momento for lunch. On the meter it said £1.50 per hour. Thinking that an hour might be a bit tight, I put £2 in. I thought that would give me about 80 minutes. However, my leaving time was still 14:31. Was I ripped off? Or did I just leave a tip?
That's where I parked (or so I thought), but it's not free. Unless there's another car park nearby. I'm going to do a recce tomorrow as it's doing my head in now.
Thought grahams orchard was a short-stay car park, 1 hour only? Havn't parked there in a while though.
You definitely just tipped. It's £1.50 for an hour or part of an hour, otherwise it would say a price per minute. As Tarntyke says though, if you park in Morrisons you can claim back the money from your shopping.
The sign on the ticket machine said "max stay 24 hours", I'm sure. Next time I'll buy an avocado from Lidl and some toothpaste from Quality Save, then I'll get 2 hours free. Nearer than Morrisons
The 1 momento free carpark is next to the one you used. It's between Graham's orchard and the old Dunn's store multi story thing. I could have sworn the Graham's orchard carpark was one hour maximum stay too. No return within 24 hours maybe?
Park in lidl. Dont buy owt If you are worried about a 'fine' go in lidl for some mints and use the parking machine then walk in scrattersave and use the machine without buying owt. 2 hours parking. 25p.
