Just watching the game and I'll be amazed if there's 30,000 there, never seen so many empty seats Fickle or what!
As are a big % of the 'fans' of most of the big clubs. They're fickle, glory hunters who think they have a devine right to success.
New ground new fans! Arsenal's home 'support' is the epitome of modern football's desired customer. Tourists, middle class, camera phone waving, selife stick loving spectators there for the 'entertainment' before streaming Arsenal TV through their VBlogs or whatever they're called. Highbury was never a cauldron but the old Clock End was miles more passionate than anything seen at the Emirates.
If you advertise yourself as a premium product and charge top dollar for it, don't be surprised if the customers start to grumble if you don't produce it. The arrogance of football and its taking for granted of the misguided loyalty of 'true supporters' needs a right good shake. I hope this type of protest starts to spread in the premiership and maybe, just maybe, the whole thing crumbles.
Attendances include season ticket holders whether they’re present or not. No different to Oakwell. Ours will include the free child season tickets that only turn up to handful of games a season.
I would have thought for health and safety reasons any club is compelled to know and declare how many people are in its stadium.
Agreed. They have one of the best managers their club has ever had and the premiership has ever seen and treat him like dirt.
