I’m sure that if you’ve had a season ticket every season since 2009 (not sure of exact year) they’ll honour a concession at 60. They’ve done it for a few years now. Hope they still do cos I’m 60 next year!
I let mine go 4 years ago I'm 62 and not entitled even though I had it 20 years ,so I have to wait till I'm 65 to qualify. Mates all got em at 60 .
Not heard that. I thought that when they changed from 60 to 65 they allowed people who already had a concession season ticket to continue to purchase one. Those between 60 and 65 at the time of the changeover.
Yes they did. But that would have ended after 5 yesrs, when everyone would have reached 65. Same rules do still apply for full price ticket holders until they reach 60, but only if they've bought a season ticket continuously since the change was made. So in theory my son who's 36 should get a senior ticket for the 2046-47 season
No the rule was anyone already with a Season Ticket can get an OAP one at 60 as long as they keep renewing every year until they get there I am now 60 and have had a ST from well before 2009 so to renew this year I just emailled the Box office and checked the concession still applied - it does, sent a proof of age and they changed my category so when I renewed for next season I only paid the OAP rate I now get free prescriptions and a Seniors Railcard - there arent many perks of getting older but there are a few and it makes sense to grab them most of the rest dont kick in until I am 65 or 67
Sorry, I should’ve said for the play-off home tie. I’ve already renewed S/T and that’s over 60 as previously.
I have benefit well from prescriptions being free from the age of 60, I never realised I could get a senior rail card though. As this been a benefit if I apply for one. How does it work and how do you apply ?.
