Any adults on here never learned to ride a bike?

    Adults can bring kids along to learn also, but the focus of this particular programme is adults. Equipment provided.

    My mam can’t. She also wouldn’t go along to this but it’s great for anyone who wants to learn.

    Fair enough never off mine as a kid don't get out much anymore but once you can ride one you don't forget.

    Alot of families on low income have previously accessed similar schemes to enable them to travel to/ from work where other transport was prohibitive due to cost.
    You’d be amazed how many adults in general can’t swim or ride a bike.

    I've ridden a few. Still paying for one of em'. Thought it was top of the range at the time too. Got a good rewarding workout though.

    I've known for years you can't ride a bike and it blows my mind. It's like not being able to open a door, tie your shoe laces, or button your trousers.

    I've got a freaky, genuinely weird memory. I can clearly remember the day I learnt to ride a bike. I got a bike for Christmas when I was 4 years old. A beautiful yellow Raleigh Boxer. My sister and I crept down stairs to look at our presents under the tree after mum and dad went to bed on Christmas Eve night. There it was, shining like a star, leant against the sofa. And I learnt to ride it that day. Me dad took me up to the rec, I got on my new bike and I rode it. Because learning to ride a bike is like learning to sit down. It's impossible not to to be able to do it. I'm sort of in awe of you that you can't. It's like never having learnt how to eat a sandwich.

    No before she binned me. She convinced me to take out a loan for £8000 that I'm paying off until December 2027. She also didn't want to go through CSA and told me to pay her £300 maintenance and she'd pay back £50 towards the loan overwise I wouldn't see George. I declined and went through the CSA. I pay £195.50 a month plus petrol to her mother.

    I can still remember my first bike, Christmas 1986, snow outside, and falling off numerous times. I can genuinely remember it like it was yesterday. I can see the faces around me, feel the cold, I remember the clothes I had on. So weird that it’s such a vivid memory.

    This evening I left the oven on after dinner.
