    Off to Madrid. While the harsh reality is you can't really blame him, it's another example of how manager's are every bit as ruthless as footballers, when it comes to moves.

    He can't turn down the Real Madrid offer to stay at Everton though, it's a once in a lifetime move. Hardly the same as your average Championship player jumping ship for treble the wages to a team lower down in the league.

    Rafa Benitez is being mentioned a lot in Spain and by other European football journalists. Surprising, as he was Lfc manager but he still has a house in the area.

    He does still have his house ... he wouldn't get time to settle a team. Crowd would be on his back ....another one mentioned a lot is Gerrard. He was an Evertonian growing up but highly doubt it
