So our foreign policy is now made in Washington! Doesn't this just fill you with glee ahead of post-Brexit trade talks with America? To all the brextremists who spoke of becoming a 'vassal state' - wait until Boris and his lickspittle chums are installed. You ain't seen nothing yet!

There needs to be a serious investigation into how the emails were leaked to the Daily Mail and why the Daily Mail thought it a good idea to print them.

I suspect it was a deliberate plan to get rid of Sir Kim.

Exactly so, Ian. I hope the snakes who leaked on Boris's behalf are outed.

The Daily Mail don’t do good ideas .
For a British paper I can’t fathom out how it does so well it’s more anti British in its publication than any soviet inspired rag,
The owners throughout history have never supported British values other than oppression and imperialism .
Some seem to think they’re intelligent for reading such tripe though so hey ho .

After Boris refused to back him last night in the debate I guess he had no option , he’d be gone on July 24 th anyway

There's nothing historically unusual in what he said in terms of Ambassador's commenting on leaders of other countries. Saddest thing is it's all entirely true. Whoever leaked it should be ashamed and out of a job/ in jail.

Boris is a c*&t. So are the Tories. All c*nts, one and all.

If you had told me a few years ago that Trump would be in the White House, and that we had Boris, I would have assumed you had just escaped from an asylum. The idiots are truly running it now.

The answer to your question, Marlon, is people like this exist in this country:

So we've got Marxist down already, good start. Just need to throw in terrorist sympathizer and anti-semite for a full house.

And whether he is a remainer or leaver Tory or Labour it doesnt matter to do a job as an ambassador - there is no suggestion his political beliefs have had any impact at all on his job. The leaked reports on Trump hardly say anything that any sane person wouldnt agree with

But there is an effective coup going on to remove from the Tory party and also civil service people who dont fit into the right wing ERG extreme fold you can see it in the attempts to get more moderate Tories deselected as well. The Cynic might wonder if those who failed to gain any real influence in the BNP or UKIP decided to take over the Tories instead and it seems to be working.

Good Lord . The comments made against Trump by sir Kim, pale into insignificance compared to bo jo in 2015. And Trump loves him.

You can have an opinion he's a tw@t, but he's de fecto not a Marxist. His policies are very similar to those of Scandinavian countries and last time I checked they're not Marxist.

Edit: Although I'm not sure what Corbyn has to do with Trump and and Boris's behaviour. Perhaps you could explain?

It should be fairly easy to find out who leaked this. It was a high level memo, that few had access to. Coverup expected anytime soon. Clearly politically motivated.

May & Hunt at least did the decent thing & stood up for him against the totally unstatesmanlike tweets from the inept "Leader of the Free World". Both of their political careers are about to end anyway though. Boris has shown his hand on how he is going to be in office, handing the NHS & our food standards over to his buddy Donald "Duck Egg Head" Trump.
