Even worse, it's a work day here so I was listening to the second half while driving my daughter home from school in rush hour traffic with her holding the phone and giving me updates (in the style of a 9 year old girl!). Pulled in at the side of the road to watch the penalty and breakaway goal debacle before arriving home in time for the last five. Absolutely exhausting!
Not me (for as change!) thought we were extremely comfy. They looked shot of confidence and couldnt string 2 passes together....thought scoreline flatter them. Another good high press ..high energy performance and great subs at right times errrrr imho!
Yeah annoying really when we should have just been coasting for those last few minutes. Also how come Matty Pearson got away without a booking for the penalty?
Yeah, it was too much for me. I don't care how much 2-1 flattered them, there was another goal for Luton in that game.
I remember us being "extremely comfy" in a game against Ipswich many years ago. Things like that scar you for life!
Yes I was a nervous wreck! We made an easy game look really hard towards the end. Thank God we got the deserved win!
My sphincter muscles are in prime condition with all this squeaky bum time. Can’t wait for the summer to wear the old Budgie smugglers and show them off. On second thoughts I’ll stick to my cargo shorts
If we’ve got ambitions beyond simply getting into the Play offs (and I have) the more other teams put pressure on us, so we have to keep playing, the better. It’s so common to see a team stroll into the play offs that they pretty much stop playing. And then they can’t lift themselves for the final push. If we hit the play offs and we’re still flying (because we have to be!) bring it on. There is no one we need to fear from those teams around us. But, we have to keep going.
I was in a family Skype call from 2pm and missed the first half so I just listened to 2nd half. When we got the pen I was dancing round the room, only to then sit nervously to the end. I don't argue with Dike taking it, I just wish he'd smashed it, after all Mowatt's penalty against Reading wasn't great.
If our nemesis Collins had been on from the start it could have been a different story. I’m glad Moncur didn’t get on though
Nervy ending. Nowt unusual wit tarn. Difference is, Cardiff apart. We see the game out. Would like to know how many goals the last 10/15 minutes have cost us. We’ve taken 17 points I believe after going behind. another outstanding stat.
It’s so very us, but I bet every fan of every club says that as well What a world of difference there is between being 2 up and going for the Roy of the Rovers ending, and suddenly hanging on at 2-1 and seeing Bournemouth and Reading winning
