Like lots of other fans i watched Adams substitution antics with amazement. Shocked and surprised by his attitude and sorry for Paul Heckingbottom who had to deal with it in the heat of a football match against a team who are top of the league due to their spending power. But i think Adam will have realised that he was in the wrong and only too willing to put things right with the manager, fans and fellow players. Hopefully behind the scenes bridges will have been rebuilt and we can move onwards and upwards. PH is a top man as i think is AH , both passionate about Barnsley F C. So onwards and upwards boys and leave the amateur dramatics to the prima donnas of the premier league , we'll just play football.
I seem to remember Darren Sheridan having an altercation with Danny Wilson in the promotion season when Sheridan was subbed. Didn't do either of em any harm in the long run.
Also remember Marcelle and Wilko having a ruck on the pitch, was it Charlton? We won 4-0 in the end...
When Forestieri refused to play for Wednesday at the start of the season due to "contractual reasons" (others were getting a pay rise and he wasn't) the Wednesday fans immediately forgave him as he's a good player. Yet Adam Hammill is being lambasted for showing a little frustration/passion. I wasn't the slightest bit offended or upset with his reaction and think he was more disappointed in the fact that he wasn't given the opportunity to try and wrestle the game back from Newcastle than being disgusted that he was being substituted. He knew why he'd been subbed , to stop him being sent off , that's why he was saying he'd got the ball ,when he dived into his last challenge, as he walked off
Bit more than a lob. More a ripping it off and throwing it forcibly at the manager in disgust. Probably the only bad thing Trevor did while at Oakwell.
