11 months ago we lost 2 of our elder whippets in the space of 3 days due to old age and illness. We were down to 1 whippet boy in Obi who got very depressed losing his 2 female bodyguards mentors and best mates. Moving on to November of last year my wife's mum had to go into a care home due to dementia and unfortunately couldn't take her young Yorkshire terrier with her. The decision was to place him in kennels or have him with us. He wasn't even two years old but was naughty and not very well house trained. I wasn't convinced in having him live with us. Move on to today and Obi has a best friend and we have a fearless sofa buddy who despite still being naughty is hilarious and loves living here in his new home. BBS meet Ozzy.
Welcome to the bbs Ozzy. You look after the old lad, he's relying on you now. Oh and by the way, what's your opinion of the board and how they handle transfers both in and out? I hope you're not going to be a happy clapper or you'll get some stick on here.
We don’t have a dog but it’s great hearing stories like this. I’ve managed to acquire access to several doggy sites on Facebook without really trying and enjoy at least two hilarious video reels on there every day. Dogs have so much character in general and prove their worth to everyone lucky enough to have them.
Lovely post!! Love the pic where they're lying in the sunlight in the room!! We have two whippets and where there's sun there's a whippet.
Lost my best mate at the end of March. Still raw and I thought I'd never house another dog because of the way I felt in the weeks afterwards. Hoping to move house in the next year but we've come round to thinking once we're settled in we need another dog in our lives - life is much too quiet!!
I didn't want a dog. My ex wife wanted a dog. We compromised and got two. They're the only thing I miss
