If true, they reckon that Leicester have already rejected a bid of circa £70 million from Man United adding that he's not for sale. Man City would like to buy him, but don't think he's worth that, so it looks like they didn't want to get embroiled in bidding against each other. As for Andrew Robertson, his kudos is certainly rising. Now well established in both Liverpools and Scotlands first teams. Cited by a number of pundits, Phil Neville included, as one of the best full backs in the world due to his pace, passing and crossing abilities. Can't see Liverpool selling him anytime soon, but if they ever did, you would have thought he'd be worth probably somewhere in excess of £50 million wouldnt you.?
Given man united have just paid that for a twenty year old right back from Crystal Palace I reckon probably double that as a starting point
You probably could be right Troff. Apparently Juventus want Danny Rose and the fee for him could well be around the £20 million mark. Robertson is a much better player than him, but because he's not for sale at this time, we don't know what Liverpool might want for him. Had a look on Transfer market and as at June 2019, they had his value down as £54 million. At the end of the day, it's all about what another Club is prepared to pay I suppose and £100 million could well be a realistic figure. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andrew-robertson/profil/spieler/234803
Well Unfortunately not. When Robo left for Hull it was at a time of complete turmoil at Tannadice with a very greedy chairman selling and pocketing everything in sight. It was criminal what he did to our (his) club hence where we are atm. Robo on record as saying he did not want to go, preferring to stay and mature but Thompson had other ideas and sold cheaply at the first opportunity. We might have had a small sell on %age when Hull eventually sold. Pity as we possibly could have reaped big financial benefits had he stayed for another year.
Sorry mate I only related both what with them both being together at Hull. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Were there signs there that Robertson was going to turn into a champions league winning left back? I remember reading a few Liverpool fans opinions when they signed him saying they'v bought the cheap option and he wouldn't be up to standard.
He started at Celtic and released as too small and ended up at QP where we bought him for a set of track suits. But tbh it took no time for him to shine and firmly establish himself. Funny how at what rate players improve and mature. Obviously Hull took a chance on him but it took no time at all for him to make and star in their team. Same as what he's done at Liverpool. Sounds like that scouse who made the comment likes to look down on anything not Liverpool.
