I’m going with Stevie Mallan. He got a lot of stick in his time here but I always thought there was a player in him. I’m a young’un though, so many of you on here might have seen someone long before my time who you thought was capable of being the next big thing, but for whatever reason didn’t make history with BFC
Ritzmaier. Not that I think/thought he's gonna win the Ballon d'Or or anything, but a lot of the stick he got on here and twitter was pathetic
Agree about Ritzmaier. Mine has to be Mike Sheron. He looked class whenever I saw him play during the 2001/2. I don't think we'd have gone down if Steve Parkin hadn't broken up his partnership with Bruce Dyer in favour of Richard Naylor. Still baffles me to this day. How could Tony Bedeau and Richard Naylor be better than someone who had scored for fun from around November to January/Feb?
Mike Sheron has got lots more support on this subject than I imagined. More popular than I thought. But he has to be one of mine as well. Not sure if true. Possibly the highest paid player ever at the club. was reputedly on £10k pw. Class player. his supposed lack of goals (33 in 152) games wasn’t for the want of trying.
