i think people are mebbi forgetting about sam's wishes. i get the contract thing, but in reality, if clubs are offering him 3/4/5 times what we are, then it's quite possible that sam has said "come on gaffer, you've got to let me go. i can't turn this money down, it might not be there in the summer" if he's said that...and i'm not saying he has. but if he has, then ultimately he's only worth what people are prepared to pay. whether that's 450 or 4.5 if he goes in january it's gonna hurt us badly. but if he goes to wednesday in january...**** me.
