Funny old world. I think I'd be less confident of winning them this time than I was going into them 3 years ago.
What does the likely out come have to do with your desperation to avoid them? Surely the vast majority of fans are desperate to avoid the playoffs, whether we were six points clear with two to play or six points behind with two to play.
My apologies. I just can't comprehend the desperation. As i understand it the goal is promotion. Are we desperate to avoid promotion?
Yes me too - the way we had played the second half that season I thought we were the most likely side to win the playoffs If we were in them this time I wouldnt put our chances any better than Charltons - in fact they would be my favourite - I would say Pompey would be favourites but I suspect if we miss out it will be Pompey that get Automatic
You're taking a really strange stance on this one. The goal is promotion. A goal that is achieved if we avoid the playoffs. If we're in the playoffs, the goal becomes much more difficult to achieve. Also feels like you're viewing desperation in a negative way rather than a passionate one.
How can you be desperate to avoid something that is beyond your control? I'm not viewing it as a negative. It's probably my coping mechanism. If Portsmouth slip up I'll be happy as Larry providing we win our last two. As yet though I'm bracing myself for the play-offs until it's dictated otherwise.
I'm not sure it is, I'm not saying we will make the top two because it's out of our hands. But I'd rather have blackpool and Bristol to play than have to get a win at the stadium of light and then play play off chasing peterbourgh on a Tuesday night. We're in a good place at the minute could go either way after the weekend we could be promoted by Tuesday or have no chance of 2nd by Tuesday big week.
Amazing how things change. I was hoping we'd sack Lee Johnson and then we ended up receiving compo for him
