Online as well.... www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6943243/amp/The-REAL-story-Joey-Bartons-bust-Daniel-Stendel.html
...a drink with Barton in his office? No ta, I'd rather drink meths at Spuggy Park. Also, I truly hope you didn't buy that rag!
Very irresponsible reporting. Not helpful and seems to be very supportive of Barton and quite anti-Barnsley.
Barton’s spin doctors at work. Common tactic to discredit the other person. You wouldn’t get Chedwyn doing that. Oh, wait a minute.......
Not sure it really works as spin though. Someone had damaged teeth because they celebrated a goal too much and wouldn't go fir a drink?
H The spin is that they make out DS’s conduct fell short of what is regarded as normal. That gives the impression he’s not entirely blameless. But it is so obvious what they’re doing that it wouldn’t fool an idiot. Or even a Wednesday fan.
So Daniel being assaulted has been blown out of proportion and the responses to it have been hysterical based on Barton's chequered history? That's the opinion of the Daily Mail.
I think anyone who isn't a Fleetwood supporter would think wtf? Particularly as he was attacked from behind by this account
That's what this is... it ill be a reporter mate of the CEO's. Looks like Barton has a lot of friends and they'll close ranks around him. Everyone knows if found guilty his career would be finished and maybe the CEO of the football league. Who's nailed his colours too the Barton mast. Unless there's independent witnesses.. ie ref or linesman.. which I doubt with Barton's front, then nothing will come of this. People who play by the rules don't win.. The rules are made by the very people who are and want to remain untouchable
The article is very pro Barton and is full of holes. I like that Stendel gets animated on the touchline and shows his passion. If this annoys other managers when our head coach wants to celebrate like a fan, then so be it. They are having a go at Whitey for filming when he does it every game and Fleetwood themselves have been filmed all season to try and flog a documentary. Fancy one of the Fleetwood bench telling Whitey to stop filming. It's almost like they didn't want anything to possibly be caught on camera incase something happens that they need to be able to deny. Having a post match drink with the opposition boss is a BS tradition. If you respect and like the other guy then great go have a drink and a laugh with them. But if you can't stand them it would be a bit hypocritical to have a drink with them just because of a so called tradition.
So, nothing happened, but Barton feels the need to criticise Stendel’s actions, almost attempting to defend himself.
Genuinely not arsed. We've moved on and left it to the proper authorities to deal with, all that matters is that Stendel is fine and we move forward.
