We need to replace the spine of this team first and foremost for me. Better keeper, commanding centre half, ball winning midfielder and a strong striker that can hold it up.
If we carry on signing players we will have the biggest squad in the football league need to get rid of a few 1st
Yes & saved us a lot more . Thing is , the whole team is struggling but the keeper is always a soft target , outfield players can hide & shirk the blame , keepers cannot & this is the same keeper who saved us in injury time last week at Brentford , but hey, do not let that stop you from sharpening your knife
Davies is as good as we will get in this league. The team is crap. He is under constant pressure. All mistakes are magnified.
The new owners have only been in charge for a matter of hours but their first major test is just days away. Because if they don't provide the support needed in January to bring in the right players then I fear this team is looking like it will go down.
I do not understand what you mean , please explain . I said we are struggling & I did not say anything about the consequences of our form , what I did, was highlight the fact that when you are struggling there are ten outfield players as well as the goalkeeper whose form is poor but we have to have a scapegoat & Davies is an easy target
2-3 decent recruits along the spine of the team & moving out others that are not up to the mark & I think we'll be OK. Need to get behind them for the Preston game. Vital we get 3 points from one of the two home games over Christmas.
Debatable but I've said in previous posts, football is about opinions and people who slag other people off who have one deserve shutting up
Do you think the outfield players are at an acceptable level ? As you have singled Davies out , I presume you think it is all down to him
This team is very poor. I had sort of forgotten with the Takeover etc, but watching them today brought me back down with a bump. Hopefully January will improve us, but I still think it'll be a scrap between now and May. We offer very little going forward, and when we do get into a decent position the final ball is poor. 2 on target in 90 minutes again today, and one came from their keeper throwing the ball to us. Speaking of mistakes, we make them all over the place. Woeful unforced errors mean we can't keep the ball when we've got it. Brightest moment today was having Isgrove back in the team. Some of these players must know they've a chance of being replaced in January, but it doesn't seem to inspire them to be better. They either don't care or just don't have it in them. Hecky keeps shuffling his pack but there is nothing there. He might as well just let them sort themselves out because his changes are having little or no impact.
The only positives from this season are we have never been in the bottom 3, we started off reasonably well for a new team and although we have picked up one point from a possible 21 we aren't in the bottom 3. We aren't learning to get the basics right like closing down or stopping crosses. May aswell give some of the lads a go from the 23s mallen and victor and bird.
