What a joke that is! I wish we would start doing the same to some of these ultra-arrogant clubs. “You’re in our 6,000 seater stand but we are only selling you 1,500 seats”. Make the whole thing reciprocal. Agree numbers at the start of the season and agree prices at the same time.
Yes I know that was the INITIAL allocation but the final number isn't much bigger. I'm just making the point that these big time charlies can get away with squeezing a small number of away fans into a rubbish viewing area (I was there last season) yet they come to us and have a panoramic view of the whole pitch with a much bigger allocation of seats. I hope when we get to the Premier League D) that we take over that stand and do to others what has been done to us - give them a small section of the West Stand lower - maximum 1500 seats.
Totally serious. What for 2 or 3 games per season.. If not get a season ticket for the value? Get a credit card with 12 months 0%, pay it off week by week if needs be for the good value of the season ticket... Or indeed the half season. I'd rather the club catered for those who can go to 15 plus matches per season than those who pick 1 or 2 matches per season.
The allocation will more than suffice given the hideous pricing. I've not been since we moved to the side stand, which coincided with the price hike for tickets. The old away end is now the most atmospheric part of Elland Road, a 'singing section' in many ways, so it should be a very good atmosphere for those willing to shell out!
36 quid for **** U. 30 quid for Bolton. Our noses are in the trough. We rip off both away fans and our own. We are part of the problem not the solution.
All depends on tonight and Saturday I can see a fair few wanting to go even tho it's £40 quid and especially been able to take under 16's with you for a £1
You realise that people don’t just rock up one day and decide to attend every game. If they are priced out of attending casually at first then they never will become season ticket holders. We are building in obsolescence.
It isn't just 2 or 3 games though is it. There's the £28 and £30 games which are also too much. I'm not buying a season ticket for 10 games max per season either.
Buy a half season ticket or even a flexi one then. Sorry but the club aren't going to cater for the occasional customer by passing the cost onto the majority. Makes no sense.
We never sell out at those prices. There will be plenty to go round. We've never taken that many to Leeds anyway. Now it's price, but in the past it wasn't a place for the faint hearted and many gave it the swerve.
I agree with you Conan , only thing I would point out is , that the £36 pound is one category with the other three categories being considerably cheaper than that , the average price is probably about £20 per seat but even at that you are not going to turn down 4,500 x £20
