I think it's been coming for a few weeks. He publicly criticised the owners for the transfer business they've done this summer, and they said they'd decide on his future during the international break.
Things not been right since they threw away a Champions League place and Marinakis came onto pitch to dress Nuno down in public. It wasn't anything to do with an injured player staying on the pitch too long.
As Archey said, it's been coming for a while. Santo was asked about rumours of whether he was being sacked after the first game and said it was sad but there was no smoke without fire. Another meddling lunatic owner who enjoys getting involved to stroke his own ego. Got to the land of milk and honey and it's only amplifying his tendencies. I like Santo, got a few teams playing good football. Obviously massively bank rolled mind you.
Would expect Nuno to get another Premier League job fairly soon. Possibly at West Ham, Villa or Leeds.
Bonkers decision on paper but I suppose if they don’t get on & the relationship couldn’t continue it’s always the manager that gets the boot. He did a brilliant job though. I would imagine there’s some kind of personal relationship with the owner & Ange with them both being born in Greece & able to speak the language. I’m pretty sure that relationship will soon be tested as like Nuno I don’t think Ange is a yes man.
We'll never know what goes on behind closed doors, strained relationship for a while, fell art abart transfers apparently, wint be out of work for long, good Manager.
Big Ange in then at Forest, fans very worried about the playing style, built a team with the best counter attacking style and stats last season and appoint a possession based manager. Can see Nuno being snapped up quickly somewhere, it was a well constructed sacking which he played his part in. They recruited players to play a counter attacking style which made them successful, then appointed Edu as Sporting Director who wanted a possession based game, have a feeling this one will come back to bite them and they'll be nowhere near the European places
