I’m openly left wing. I am a member of and vote for a left wing party. You can call me far left if you like. I’m not sure that I am, as there are elements of capitalist thinking that I get along with.

Why don’t the right, far right, the Tory/Reform voters on here ever admit as much?

    Makes you think.

Well said. Perhaps all of us who are proud of our heritage on multicultaralism, on the nhs and its inclusion of minorities should all hang out a union flag. In fact, perhaps everybody in the country who's British, brown or black should hang a flag out...

The worrying thing here is you’re being serious and not ironic.

How exactly would you describe the actions of the ‘other parties’ who ‘govern’ (there is only one other who has governed in recent decades, so you have to be referring to the conservatives) - do you think in the fourteen years they were most recently in power they held their hands up with accountability, had no squabbles, and just got on with governing? You talk boll.ocks a lot of the time SD but most of the time it’s intentional. Not here. You’re just chatting nonsense.

The party who gave us five - yes five - prime ministers in fourteen years? Who backed serial liars and didn’t oust them initially - then cried when they eventually had to leave office?

Who borrowed more, taxed more, left the largest deficit in modern history, ruined public services beyond recognition (don’t you work for the nhs?), spaffed hundreds billions on contracts for their mates for no return and made the quality of life worse for the majority of citizens of the country? That party who governed?

Find me one example of a Tory minister who was found to break ministerial code, potentially regarding tax affairs (that won’t take long) - who was investigated within a matter of days, self reported and sought further advice themselves, apologised, showed contrition and genuine remorse, resigned from the cabinet - and paid back every penny they were alleged to have underpaid (that might take you a tad longer - in fact, you won’t find one. Because they don’t avoid 40k, they avoid millions and don’t pay it back).

    Absolutely baffling.

I think this Labour government are absolute tosh, probably more right wing than the Major Tory incarnation and bad enough to look back with desire for the Blair years (and he’s a **** let’s face it) - but dear me to try and tar them as worse than what went immediately before, especially in terms of accountability and law breaking - it’s absolutely dumbfounding.

Don’t give them facts: they don’t like facts.

    They don’t support their views.

For someone who ‘liked’ a post accusing us ‘lefties’ of being incels you don’t half come across as a very sexually frustrated misogynist.

You mean like standing to become an MP in the U.K. parliament, taking a seat in the commons and representing his constituents?

I imagine the residents of Clacton on Sea would like him to try that too, because he doesn’t ******* do it now.

It literally is correct. Documents and information relating to events in the family Court and relating to children are subject to very strict confidentiality requirements and disclosing them without the position of the Court is likely to be contempt.

There may (I'm not sure) be an automatic exemption if you are required to disclose them by a competent authority, but that wouldn't cover self referral.

The irony klaxon has broken. The term ‘far right’ is rendered meaningless when it is pointed out Reform et al fall within that banner - yet it is perfectly logical and accurate to suggest the last Tory government were left wing? Wow.

Which poster have you got up this week? Oswald Mosley or Enoch Powell?

I think the question is why did she fail to get advice? I find it hard to believe she thought she could, or would get away with avoiding paying it given the microscope politicians are under, so I tend to think she was just stupid.

    Your mileage may vary.

Nurse, Nurse, he’s not had his medication again.

Are you for ******* real? Call them whatever you like - they weren’t an iota socialist - and they are the most obvious example of a far right government that has ever existed. The fascist poster boys. Far left? You have lost the plot.

Not my words - but this sums them up

“No, the Nazis were not a left-wing party; they were a radical far-right movement whose ideology was racist, nationalist, and violently anti-socialist and anti-democratic. The party's full name, National Socialist German Workers' Party, used "Socialist" and "Workers'" to appeal to a broad base, but its core tenets were firmly on the right, with an emphasis on nationalism, authority, and hierarchy, and a goal to destroy the political left”

    You’re a crank

Of course not, from me either. Absolutely bonkers. It's the media double standards that irks me.

If you don't interact with the obvious wind-up merchants such as Daniel the Goldthorpe red or Red West, you won't get annoyed.

    No I don't.

The first independent casualty report in June estimated 80,000 deaths between October 2023 and January 2025... Which is before the famine officially started. Hamas has estimated 64,000 total deaths to date. So no, I trust the independent figure not the one from Hamas.

Farage had claimed to be the buyer of the property last November, in hope of dismissing criticism that he had not been spending enough time in is constituency.

But on the final day of Reform’s conference in Birmingham, he admitted he was wrong to say he had “exchanged contracts” on the Clacton house.

He told Sky News: “I shouldn’t have said ‘we’. I should have said ‘she’”, he told Rigby.

“It’s her money. It’s her asset. I own none of it. But I just happen to spend some time there.”

Farage added: “You know what? It’s a really funny thing in life. But sometimes we all say things that we perhaps shouldn’t quite have said.

“I should have rephrased it. I didn’t want to put her [Ferrari] in the public domain.”

When he was initially asked last November about how much time he actually spent in Clacton, he told Sky News: “I’ve just exchanged contracts on the house that I’ll be living there in – is that good enough?… I’ve bought a house in Clacton. What more do you want me to do?”
