At 35. (Partially) made in Barnsley. 3rd highest goalscorer in the top 4 tiers in the last 20 years - 220 goals Probably would've beaten Billy Blunt's record (259) if he hadn't have gone to the rusty tinpot for 4 years Edit* JordaN
One of those players where, in his prime, felt too good for championship but not quite good enough for Premier league. Bit like Earnshaw, Knockaert, Nugent etc
The one that got away. Pretty sure he was in our academy but ended up at Ipswich as a teenager when his dad went to work as a coach there. Great goalscorer.
One of the strangest footballers to watch. Looked at times like he couldn’t be bothered to run, then whack 1-0. Wander around a bit 2-0. Made the hardest part of football look so simple given even a sniff of a chance.
He’s supposedly one of the nicest blokes in the game. If that’s not proof of evolution I don’t know what is.
A couple of stats I quite like about Jordan Rhodes and Sheffield Wednesday: This is only using figures cited in the press but if accurate...If you total his loan fee, transfer fee and wages in his time at the fowls, then look at his scoring record, it averages out that he cost approximately £750,000 per goal. Despite spending over 4 years of his career with Wednesday, he still retires having scored more goals at Hillsborough for teams who aren't Sheffield Wednesday, than teams who are.
Not sure but Harry Kane surely has to be up there. Jamie Cureton and Wayne Rooney won't be far off. But even then players like aguero and salah are close to 200. Most confident guess is definitely Kane though!
A young man compared to Didzy. No commitment. I wonder how much having a professional goalkeeper dad helps develop you as a striker - a friendly kick about at the park from a young age with the kids - I bet he made him earn it.
