No there are many thousands of people like me whose parents had a similar background. Or worse.

Then these ultimately are the ones most in need of our help and it’s warning to know that our country was able help you and help others in a similar situation……..

I agree, there should be a faster, easier process, and I believe that’s what this government have just proposed.
If you had fled a country that you were being persecuted in, I’d wager there is a chance that you might not have to hand your passport, birth certificate and 5 years worths of p45s.
These people aren’t coming here for a holiday. They’re coming to seek asylum from persecution. Despite what Farage might tell you. Don’t get me wrong, i’m not saying that a percentage of them aren’t qualified to claim asylum, but that’s the point when they become illegal immigrants, when they refuse to leave after their asylum claim has been rejected. Until then they are are asylum seekers.

So today's little update to the "we don't want foreign rapists" from the woman due to testify against her English rapist next week.

She's posted a video on tiktok today draped in a union jack (upside down obviously) accompanied by the audio playing in the background of the queen (our Liz) saying "never give up, never despair". She's too thick to understand that the quote comes from a speech given by the queen in which she also said "They fought so we could live in peace, at home and abroad. They died so we could live as free people in a world of free nations"

And in other news had a bit of an argument with a woman at work today who was talking about how we need to blow up the hotels to kill the *insert racist term beginning with p here* and two tier kier too. I asked why she didn't care about them being in hotels 2 years ago when I remember her saying that Sunak was doing a great job and people needed to get off his back. Her response to that was "they weren't walking around in big gangs feeling up children in parks then like they do now. They all do it, 100 of them go in a circle round a park and walk in till the children can't get away then they molest them"

Can anyone on here provide any evidence at all that immigrants housed in hotels are forming a ring around kids play areas and then walking onwards trapping the children so that 100 of them can sexually assault them? I can't believe I've missed that news, would have thought such a despicable act would have been headline news on all TV stations.

There's no reasoning with these people now mate. They've been emboldened and unchallenged and now they can think anything they like and it will be true. Asylum seekers are rapists, groomers, lazy parasites and they can't speak English and don't want to integrate. They also scrounge and get freebies because we are a crap, woke country.

I appreciate that, @Wuz1964, and I wasn't questioning it, just recounting my own experience of a similar problem for context.

People also forget that in most countries having commonly accepted forms of ID is rarer than here. Just look at the first world countries USA - only 48% have a passport - and in Japan, it falls to 17.5%. In countries where the majority of asylum seekers come from, like Afghanistan, Syria, etc., the government institutions have been a mess for years and in some cases just applying for a passport would have seen the secret police knocking on your door.

The majority of the world do not routinely have passports, birth certificates or other forms of identity documents.

Guessing it will be like the Covid hospital scenario of kitting out the buildings not putting them on pallets.
All joking aside RAF Scampton had best part of £50 million spent on preparing that before it was scrapped(was budgeted for £122million).
Majority of what they did there was ship portakabins in.
Based on the above hard to imagine by time you’ve kitted out the warehouses it would be cheaper than hotels.

guaranteed it wont be cheaper but those who think its ok to shout at buildings wont care, the illusion of asylum seakers enjoying a hotel stay will have gone, they'll have won.

But you know they'll not be satisfied. They'll surround the 'camps' and protest there. Until the camps are prison like. Then they'll want them all deported. Then they'll want any approved asylum seeker deported. Then foreigners on low incomes. Then settled foreigners. Then anyone who's married a foreigner.

If it continues, history shows us where this irrational hatred will lead. We only have to look across the Atlantic to witness it in action.

Danny, I'm all in 100% in on "anyone who's married a foreigner," then Farage should be 1st on the agender.

Stil ignoring the fact that before sunak turfed them out onto the streets of England in a desperate attempt to trick idiots and win a doomed election there were many thousands more in hotels under the Tory government than there are now?

And apart from the 1840s, and 1940, the years with the most immigration into the country were under Johnson and Sunak.
