FA Cup 1st Qualifying round this week

    A couple of interesting ones.

    Another three qualifying rounds to go after this one but :-

    Pontefract Collieries still in there. be a nice local one if we drew them in 1st round proper. Or how about the reds fans getting in our own small boats and heading to St Hellier as we still have Jersey Bulls in the mix.

    Neither have ever reached the 1st round proper with Ponte having their best crack so far in the 21/22 season when they were knocked out by Halifax in a 4th Qualifying round replay. Jersey on the other hand have only ever managed to get as far as the 3rd Qualifying round, again in the 21/22 season getting knocked out by Chertsey Town.

    I thought with the header it was about Wombwell Town..... Ponty Colliery??

    I thought Wombwell would have changed to Friday night to attract more crowd with us playing Huddersfield, maybe they couldn't.

    A local derby but play in different leagues, Havant in the southern premier south a d Chichester in the isthmian premier.

    Ah ok, missed that one. Must be because that match didn't show up as a fixture on livescore. Having said that Shepherd came from Ponty Collieries so there is a link there.
