Hi folks, does anyone have any advice or recommendations for suitably qualified electricians?

Our issue is a very slight flickering of our lights, including lamps plugged into sockets. It's very slight, and is not tripping anything out, but it's persisted for over three weeks. We probably need things checking out.

Any advice or recommendations much appreciated.

Hi not an electrician but had a similar problem a few years back.
I was told at the time it's a bad neutral which in our case was on the utility companies side and looking into it was the likely cause.
The electrician told me to contact them first otherwise he could be charging us for nothing if wasn't in our property.
Sadly he's retired now old tradesmen always seem to be best.
I use csk electrical services ltd maplewell now.
Known Sean since kids but didn't know he had becoming an electrician.
    Hope helps.

    Yes, Mark at https://www.bsselectricalservices.com/

He was bloody brilliant, explained everything, honest and up front with pricing, came quickly, communicated excellently. If you use him, tell him Tony who you worked for last week sent you. I've never had a tradesman as good as that.

You could try a good Spiritualist .
You could have friends moving in with you.
We had a chuffing house full at previous house.
Apparently bloke who bought it had the same problem

If it was just the mains lights, I would suggest starting with an electrician checking your box/circuit but with you saying plugged in as well it is most likely to do with a voltage irregularity which would suggest it’s a supply issue.
I’d start with speaking with your suppliers

Electricians! Coming here with their multimeters, wires and trip-switches - send 'em back where they came from.

Many thanks to you all for the helpful suggestions. As suggested by LK311 and JonTyke, I've got Northern Powergrid currently checking the externals, so I'll go with one of the excellent recommendations if that brings nothing to light (unintended! :)).

Guess it depends where you are, but highly recommend Dave Hammond in Penistone.
