Normally managers would say we don’t discuss other clubs players but Conor definitely indicated to me he’s a player he would like to bring in .

As a straight up loan. Id rather go for the man u lad we were linked to Williams as he is coming off a promising loan in L2 and a good pre season with Man U. But that would obviously just be a straight loan.

If the article we saw is right and he's leaving Southampton permanently, then id be happy to see Ballard here and would prefer than over a loan as he'd be our asset to develop and improve.

He's not had the best few loans, but he has talent and a really impressive goal record at youth level. Id trust Conor and the staff to be able to bring the best out of him and build his confidence back up.

No thIs is a forum for discussion and I am highlighting someone who seems to be up and coming in the football world and be maybe worth a punt. Not sure what the problem is pal.

Didn't realise posts had to be vetted by you.

Problem with loans the parent club can insist their man plays every game possible or they impose fines in the contract if he doesn't, so that alone can be a mine field. In Conor we trust don't know about he who can't be named without setting off a 32 page debate on whether he sould be sacked though lol

Agree but may I counter that by saying the club can sign permanent transfers that turn out not good enough or cause issues.

Nwakali for example on a 3 year deal and not mentioning Oulare and Iseka.

    Therefore what’s the better deal?

Swings and roundabouts mate. The only downfall of a loan is player being recalled whilst doing well at a club.

Vickers for an example is a fantastic bit of business.

I agree, I can’t see Brighton selling him because he has a bright future but it depends how we are doing up to January. If we are pushing top 6 he will stay ( I hope ).

Joining their better red like their admin tweeted when they beat us to Koroma, as they languish in the bottom half.

He didn't mention Ballard by name, but Conor basically ruled this one out in his pre-match press conference on Thursday. He said something like, some of the names we've been linked with who I've mentioned previously, I've taken a closer look at and decided against.

He did say that yes, but he also said a player may go elsewhere because of location, family, or the other clubs just bid more.. "Throw the kitchen sink at it" Was the expression used..

He did. As I say, he didn't mention Ballard by name, but as he was one of the players he'd discussed the week before, I put 2 and 2 together.

Shiuld go to QPR, then they could have a frontline of Kone and Bollard.
