Does anyone have any recommendations for a good/cheap house/ furniture removal firm in the Barnsley area?

Thomas Masters removals & storage is who we used.

They came recommended to us & we were really happy with them.

They’re just off summer lane in town

We used Robyn White. Was very reasonable and good service would highly recommend.

Not Anyvan. An awful company to deal with when they damage items.

Prior to flogging an binning everything we decided we dint want to take to the new house, you'll be amazed, 5 trips to Smithies dump it site. We hired a Luton van from Wakey rd, 2 trips to Brid in a day i think it was abart 79quid, an abart 65.00 fuel.

    Do not use Thomas Masters!

My mum used them a few years ago and they damaged 5 pieces of furniture and several walls during a very small move. It took months for them to finally recompense my mum after initially trying to suggest they'd caused no damage.

The way they acted was embarrassing. Hanging up on her, then blocking her calls. It took the threat of legal action to get them to cover the cost of fixing or replacing the items they'd damaged.

The gang they used that day were very young and didn't appear very strong, so I'm guessing they'd either struggled with recruiting and/ or they'd booked in too many moves for that day.

Avoid. Things happen, that's just life. It's how you react when problems are encountered. Their reaction was shockingly poor.

No recommendation either way, but I walk past JobDone regularly.
