After seeing that back, that's never seen a second yellow card for me. A foul maybe, but never a yellow.

Agreed mate, VERY harsh 2nd yellow. Just 2 players going for the ball and on this occasion, Vimal got there first. Not even a foul for me. The first one was understandable, but the Bolton player should have got a red card, Vimal was laughing and playfully pushed the lad and he responded violently.

it’s the reaction of the Bolton player that makes the ref send him off - watch him rolling around but makes a recovery very quickly after he’s sent off. This is the problem with modern day football teams cheat for decisions all the time at every given opportunity.

The incident prompting the response from Vimal is violent conduct.

The second yellow is an absolute joke.

Their equaliser is a clear foul on our keeper.

If I was Conor I’d be getting a fine rather than being so unduly gracious.

Just seen the second yellow, ridiculous decision. Not a dangerous tackle, ball clearly won. Bonkers.

From that angle it certainly looks like a clean tackle. Didn't look to be much to it from the Ponty either, but the ref surely had a better view.

The first yellow was a very silly one to pick up. Just walk away and don't get involved. I'm sure he'll learn from it.

Said at time that first one was a deliberate attempt at winding Yoga up. They’d have planned it pre-game. No other reason for what their player did. He does react and he’s going have to rein it in the way he plays. He raised his hands to push their man and even in a playful, jokey manner that gets a yellow these days.
We’ve had two sendings off in three games and both were soft.

Conor in his post-match summary clearly felt the same way about the first one.

Sorry but that's a yellow every day. It just is. We may not like it, games gone etc, but it's a yellow. Daft challenge. Hooe he learns from it.

Got to the ball first, won it, their player ran into him; they emerged with the ball - it’s not a foul, it’s play on.

I thought he showed a lot of restraint at Plymouth. Can't really blame him for the way he reacted yesterday either, but needs to rise above it.

I think in this day and age, they’re both bookings.

I grew up in the days where Steve McMahon nonchalantly elbowed Gazza breaking his jaw and no card given. Or Vinnie Jones on McMahon in a cup final. Get up and crack on. Or Gazza in a cup final putting his boot through Gary Parker’s chest.

But it’s 2025 and the game has gone, so yeah, can’t really grumble with it. One for Vim to learn from.

Agree mate. Those were the days.

I definitely think their player could have been sent off though.

    1. excessive force
    2. Retaliation

both yellows. The first was arguably a red on its own. It was totally unnecessary , out of control and very obvious what he was doing.

mcatee did the same thing to Vickers in our area in front of the ref and lino. Both decided they didn’t see it.

It's a definite yellow and both were completely unnecessary. Hopefully he learns from it.
