Not seen him mentioned yet but I thought he looked a real prospect when he came on. Only a cameo of course but he seemed to put himself about well, looked mobile and had a decent chance to score too.
Think we’ll be frustrated that we only see him off of the bench. Some seriously good options in midfield so if any have a few off games then they’ll lose their place. Definitely looks like captain material
Just what we needed when down to 10 men lots of energy. Could have played a better pass to dkd at 2-1 but apart from that good.
Looked taller than I expected.. seemed a Martin Bullock type in his interview.. Looked alright the shot he had was going in but hit a defender..but early doors, everybody and everything looks good when we win..! Got some hard games this month let's see where we are after those..
Good communicator in midfield is the most important man. That's why I always loved Connell, especially in his first season. Always talking
I thought he looked like the kind of player we’ve been missing for a few years. Last season I always felt that Connell, Phillips and Russell were good players but not when all are in the same team. There’s a lack of energy and tempo when all 3 played. Kelly looks like high tempo and getting round the pitch kind of player which we Donny have will really suit a 433/424 formation.
Yeh' i thought we may struggle a bit when Russell came on because i thought Plymouth were pressing very well at the time' as you say kelly had much more energy about him.
Definitely seems to offer us something different to what we have got already. I’m looking forward to seeing what he can do not only this season but for the next few seasons.
