    He was in the squad though and would have played if they’d have wanted a spinner.

    I doubt we’ll see him playing for England with a red ball again.
    I still maintain that Leach has something to offer… he’s had a good county season

    I don’t disagree based on what I know of the selectors, however Dawson should have been playing for a while now and can’t be judged on one test in 8 years.

    Rehan Ahmed is making a case to be in the squad as a second spinner but might end up batting at 6 the way he’s going this year.

    Absolute babber and unforgivable when a bowler down. Four catches dropped - imagine the pressure they’d be under six down for a hundred and not a lot

    Controversial opinion: India are a much better side without Bumrah. They focus and rely on him far too much. When they play without him they get much more out of everyone else

    He’s a very good cricketer - maybe not test level but deserves a go when there are injuries etc - but it is a left field selection given he’s played barely any cricket in recent months.

    That said, neither has Gus Atkinson and he’s got eight wickets in the match.

    This will be a tough chase even if we keep it below three hundred and fifty though.

    Last ball of day. What pisses me off is they can't stop play to time but the can to a wicket in spite of there being a ball left. What's good for goose is good for gander.
