    Early thoughts - the kit looks a lot whiter - and nicer - than it did in the photoshoot.

    Plymouth's Mayflower stand is a brilliant example of preserving and modernising a piece of classic football architecture. No idea what the concourses are like but surely a similar overhaul of the West Stand would be worth considering, as well as presumably being hugely cheaper than building a new structure from scratch.

    At least it gets the longest trip of the season out of the way. Rather that than it be right in the thick of the business end of the season when we are all desperate to be there.

    I did the last day of the season game at Plymouth under Davey when we needed a win to stay up. Great day, but hell fire, it's a long way.
