Superb win in the end but we did wonder in that hour after lunch if we would ever get that 8th wicket! Pleased for Milnes to get his 5 for - if we can keep him fit he's a decent bowler alongside White and Coad. Back on tues again for the Metro cup - four trips to Scabby in a week, should have got a room!
Milnes bowled the opposition out to give us a vital win yesterday and this morning it is announced that he is yet another who is leaving the club. We just looking to bowl kids next season? We know there hasn’t been too much money in the club but an India test match this year, Pakistan next year and what was said to be one hundred million quid for the Superchargers franchise sale should have secured the finances for a fair while, surely? He’s had his injuries but he was one I thought we’d hold on to. Oh well. He’s no spring chicken i guess - trust the process and all that.
Money from the Super Chargers owners is expected to settle the £25m debts so there’s some good news as a result of the Hundred
Just checked that Lyth has a contract to at least the end of 26. He signed an extension a few weeks ago. Thompson is going
Hope some of it will be used at Scarborough. One stand is to be closed for structural issues. Some of the ground needs upgrading. Scarborough cc it's self needs to get their 1st team back to a better standard.

It’d be nice if the Sky cameras etc were able to actually get in the ground. I assume it’s a problem which is insurmountable except for some demolition. I don’t know any more detail. Does anyone else know ?
Do you know which of the stands at Scarborough is closing ? I have been there myself this week and was enjoying moving around the stands for different views.
They were talking on commentary about the stand under the commentary box being, or going to need added support from scaffolding, at a cost of 45k. Which is money for nothing. I sat in it for a bit v Surrey and didn't notice anything. I moved to my usual spot on the wooden benches which I'm sure I sat on 60yrs ago with mi dad.
Yeah it’s the north stand. Very vague rumours are flying round about a hotel on the site but I doubt it
