    Very costly drop by Root. Jadeja would have been out for a golden duck and not finishing 107 not out. Archer on a hat trick. Pant having to bat.

    Can't just blame that though. Pant might well have got runs, the bowlers didn't really offer much.

    Against India it should be a draw wicket. However, I'd rather not have the scoreboard pressure. Batting first just transfers it all to them.

    He's definitely a stronger man manager. However, Gill is more like Gower or Gooch. When runs is your beall and end all. Sometimes everything else is secondary.

    Just got back from an enjoyable days play but rather lacking in effort, thought the new ball would do more, archer seemed frustrated, no matter what stokes is a warrior but hats off to the Indian batters, Dawson closed an end well but never looked threatening

    If we're not plating a frontline spinner then I would have Rehan Ahmed ahead of Bethell every day of the week. Two centuries in two matches, 12 wickets last week and first Leicestershire player to achieve both a century and 10 wickets in a match for 120 years!
