Share wage (loan deal) with West brom though if they can't move him on. If the termination clause ends up being more on their part. (Defintely worth consideration) I'm not so sure Connor would take the chance. I would.
Even though he scored double figures in the spl and was our top scorerer 2 seasons on the spin in league one...
If he wants it, he can be the top scorer in the division, as he proved. Problem is he hasn't been arsed for the last 18 months and once you're in that mindset it's very difficult to pull yourself out of it. Happy to pick up a wage knowing he doesn't have to impress anyone. I'm sure a L1 club will come in for him based on half a season when it went well with us. Hope it's not us as he's shown his character is not one you'd want around a young enthusiastic team. Shouldn't imagine he'd want to come back anyway.
According to this, there's reports we've shown an interest. Darren Moore is also keen to take him to Port Vale. Understandable really considering he was a nuisance for us against Mooro's Wednesday sides. https://www.expressandstar.com/spor...orted-league-one-interest-from-albion-legend/
Can't see it at all and wouldn't want to. We lose a player for nothing who went off the boil for half a season. At his new club he spends a season as a bit part player of 14 games. If we bring him back it would be a loan and our share of his wage would likely be more than whatever he was on when he was actually our player.
Just out of interest, does anyone know which players have signed for us the most times? Obviously Cole, Glavin, Conor, Banks and Currie on twice, but has anyone signed 3 times? 4?
Not quite the same but on a technicality Hamill signed once on loan and twice on contracts but struggling to think of anyone over twice
Daniel Nardiello. He was signed on loan by Gudjon, Hart & Davey, whilst Ritchie signed him on a full contract.
Conor is trying to build a hard working, energetic side. Signing someone who has been happy putting minimal effort in for the last 18 months goes against that completely, he will not be resigning for us I can guarantee it.
Devante will only move if offered similar money elsewhere, which he won’t be. Unless a payout is agreed he’ll remain there and maybe go out on loan.
