If the club came out and said "consolidation" there'd be a blanket of cum to shift from Oakwell before our first home game.
That's the problem though, they can say what they want but until we are run like a professional football club and I include recruitment in that then it makes no difference what they say. Actions speak louder than words, we are receiving loud and clear....... No need to bull$hit.
So not good enough to be a CB, played all 190 career games as a CB, lacks pace, can't really deliver service/Assists (as conor wants progressive attacking full backs, hence ogbeta signing) but now suddenly deemed good enough for a RB amongst some quarters. Absolute madness/desperation Not having a pop at you BTW mate you are just passing on what's been reported. Also actually feel sorry for MDG
Our club has always been skint from the days when Norman Rimington (bless him ) used to paint the ball white to make it look new, and the board rallied round and keep the fight. Now those days of the board has well and truly gone.
How many seasons in a row do we think that the team starting the previous season would have beaten the one going into the new season? I’d say all but the duff team are an easy answer in the last 6 year or so in my view. Doesn’t encourage good vibes does it!
Theres no where near as much glooomyness on the Fowls forum an they are reight up 5hit creek, keep the faith, C,O,Y,R.
The women's team was not down to finance in the main. But ground issues. Moving up a division. Bonkers rules.
I found it astonishing at the level the ladies would have played at. We would have had to spend a significant amount to bring the pitches up to the level required. (Not allowed to play on AstroTurf and other pitches too small) Yet fulfill academy status. Not exactly promoting the ladies game imo at those levels.
Im led to believe that the regulations around grounds weren’t new and could have been worked round as previous seasons
Only repeating what was posted at the time mate. Chron etc. Eg While Barnsley FC previously had a women's team that was integrated into the club and allowed to use Oakwell's facilities, a new ruling by the FA stated that the fourth-tier women's team needed to play on the main pitch or another suitable venue, which would significantly increase costs, ultimately leading to the team's disbandment.
Presumably our back four on Saturday (as it stands) will be four erstwhile CBs of sorts as Earl will probably be at LB because Ogbeta can't play against his parent club. Fingers crossed Plymouth don't have much/any pace up front!
I know it's not what CH wants to play but the best chance of getting a result would be playing a 352 Cooper GK Farrugia RWB, Roberts CB, Shepherd CB, Earl CB, Cleary LWB Phillips RM Connell CM Russell LM DKD ST McGoldrick ST One of those games to leave the principles and do what's best for getting a result.
Yes read that but they can play on artificial surfaces as long as they meet a certain standard which you would have thought ours does or maybe it doesn’t !!
I believe it doesn't. (Has to Fit the G3 register. ) The indoor one may do. Construction: It consists of a synthetic turf with a longer pile height, supported by a sand infill and a rubber crumb infill to provide cushioning and realistic ball bounce. . Springvale red may help with this query. One of his kin played for em.
I don't get all the negativity, considering that we are supposed to be fitter and better prepared than ever. New signings we're always going to be dictated by selling players which will all happen at the end of the window in my opinion. It's time for Conor to show his talent with actions rather than words. DKD, Phillips, Connell, Russell and McGoldrick isn't a bad group of players to be working with and he's said that he's happy with our new signings, I don't see why we should write the start of the season off because MDG might be playing right back.
Sormaz should have lost his job by now but it’s not going to happen so we’re going to have to get used it. I didn’t agree with the Hourihane appointment either but if I want anyone to succeed as Reds manager, it’s him.
Though currently, the only one of those who'll definitely be here come the end of August is McGoldrick.
