People can slate Womens football all they like but the Lionesses can proudly and rightly claim they are better than the men’s England team. First team to win two major trophies First team to win a major trophy on foreign soil Back to back winners of a major trophy
English. And why on Earth would you not? The greatest sporting nation in the world, and it isn't close. Just brilliant.
And great credit to the hosts Switzerland, this apparently has been one of the most watched and most popular, Euro's tournaments. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c6282pm3j6mo
What about England mens team winning Le Tournoi in Paris in '97? Only kidding, I was in Chennells cheering our lasses on.
Won more than that cúnt ever did. "Joey Barton has won one major trophy and a few individual awards during his playing career. He won the Football League Championship with Burnley in the 2015-16 season. He also won the Football League Championship play-offs with Queens Park Rangers in the 2013-14 season. Individually, he was named Manchester City's Young Player of the Year for the 2003-04 season. He was also part of the PFA Team of the Year for the 2015-16 Championship season and was named Burnley's Player of the Year for that same season"
Everytime I've tried viewing England men over the last umpteen yrs I stopped watching after 10mins, bored and now don't even watch group games. Struggling to stay with knock out games as well. Was a bit surprised last night at, firstly, the skill Spain showed and then a resilient England side. I watched up to Spain scoring. (Switching over to cricket) Then again just prior to England's goal and stayed with it.
