Thinking that Kes and nostalgia are connected in some way, completely misunderstands the film.

The green is terrible but I might buy the grey even if it is a bit on the shiny side!

I dont buy the shirts, but that.....I'd be first in the queue.
This thread completely illustrates that with football shirts (like most other things), you can't please all the people at any time.

    I really like the Kestrel

I also think there should be the two fingers up from Billy in the away changing room or down the tunnel or summat.

So it's two days later and I still really do t understand how they've designed a grey scale kit and an all green and whiteckit which have both involved altering the sponsors logo to make it all one colour in order to look classy on the kit and then gone and (badly) sewn a giant multi colour cluttered Barnsley crest on there with a giant red border.

My only guess is that yet again they wanted to have a different badge on the away shirt like the toby one from last year but didn't get permission from the EFL or something so at the last minute panicked and popped down to blackfords in the market to grab some badges to sew on.

Yeah course they did…….if you dislike everything about the club why do you constantly keep posting? You like my mates…….all jacked in going then spend every day having a moan or dig…….

    Give it a rest ffs

I like the design of the kit in general. Am I not allowed to share the opinion that I think the full colour badge ruins the aesthetic that they were clearly going for? Is it not possible that like last season they had intended to use an alternate badge in just one colour for the away kit but didn't get permission this season?

Also I best tell my bank balance that I jacked in going because it seems to keep taking a few hundred quid for a season ticket each year just like it has done for the last 30 years

To be fair, it’s a shocking choice in design terms. Which myself and others have also referenced.

You entitled to your opinion just like anyone and it’s totally your prerogative to ATTEND :D but there’s multiple daily digs from every avenue……

It's my prerogative to stay away? I've literally just said that I have a season ticket

A can’t remember last time someone actually said ‘ooo that’s nice’

A genuinely think we’re at point (from a lot of supporters) now that no matter what they do it’s not good enough…..food, shirts, car park, pitch, signings, staff, floodlights, Christ knows what else too…….they could offer £100 to attend and folk would find somet to moan about!!

Sadly we are where we are and until they take us up, sell up, thrown ££££££’s in then we’re pissing with the todge we’ve got……might not be answer folk want but that’s top and bottom of it!

Looks like we’ll all have to debate, disagree, agree, fallout etc till the next phase of BFC happens

While ever people are critical, they’re caring. That’s the way I look at it.

It appears the reaction to the new kits is pretty mixed, maybe more positive than negative. That’s an improvement on last summer where negativity reigned. I think they’re both really smart shirts but are ruined by the gubbins. As in, the sweat patch dark red rose on the home shirt and 97-98 throwback markings on the midriff. The away would look better without the kestrel. And on both, the crest seems to have evolved into now having another frame around it.

    Just an opinion innit.

This is our badge. No idea why it’s not been brought back. The best crest we’ve ever had.

Just shows how it's so subjective. I personally like the red badge. Think it pops

I agree with you completely about the away kit and about the constant criticism of JAQ, which is totally out of order.

7/10 for thinking, 2/10 for execution.

The badge is awful, should be black and embroidered without the shield.

I don't hate the idea of a kestrel icon, but sticking a photorealistic one on the belly isn't the way to do it. Change it to something more stylised and subtle, or take it off the front and put an embroidered silhouette on the back oft he neck or a sleeve and it'd be great.

With the colours and ideas they could have made a really great kit, but unfortunately in my view they've completely flubbed it.
