I’ve not seen him enough to say whether he could have made it but there must be a reason why several different managers have seen him training day in and day out but none have thought he was good enough. Probably best all round he left. I just hope that facilitates a new signing at right back….
I don’t really understand how a player can play well on loan in the league, therefore showing us that they are capable of playing well in this league and for us to at least try to not include them in our team? We’re trying to establish a team of competent footballers in this division, we have one, and never tried to use them? Just doesn’t make sense to me
Another one to add to a long list including Mallan, Moncur, Mcgeehan, Mcindoe and Mowatt. We must think we're the poundland Chelsea of the EFL.
More deadwood shifted, thats fine - but we need a mega busy week of incomings and i dont think any of us really believe we're capable of delivering that
There’s some serious financial savings based on this summer. Good. What it means for on-pitch results we’ll have to wait and see.
I’m disappointed. In successive seasons he was one of Gateshead’s best player in the conference, one of MK Dons best players in league 2 & then one of Burton’s best players in league 1. This is a young player improving year on year who I think should have played a big role this season.
Couldn't have put it better myself. This could bite us in the backside. When he's in Premier League, "We didn't know how good he was".
I get where you,re coming from but in football its horses for courses and if he doesn't figure in Conors plans its best he moves on.Good luck to the lad.
I’m assuming we will have a new Right back coming in then? If not then it’s another season of struggle & strife in terms of conceding goals, we’ll probably let more in than last season!
Agreed, MDG and Lopata should have been shown the door before him. You can question why several coaches haven't seen something in him but on the flip side what about the credentials of those coaches? He got excellent reviews during last season's loan spell at Burton.
Poor decision in my opinion always looked very sharp to me and his performances on loan were pretty strong. Maybe we have better options lined up but now we need at least 2 full backs in.
You can argue that but then you can argue why have several different managers at the clubs he's been to seen him training day in and day out and thought he was a great player?'
I am disappointed to see him go, but my concern was why he was never chosen in his actual position, not favoured by anyone here. Not to mention, if he was genuinely excellent out on loan, why would MkDons not go back in for him since they're loaded? Why aren't better clubs than Burton coming in for him? I was really excited, but perhaps we just weren't the right fit. Good luck to the lad
Good luck to him but a mistake in my opinion. right side is looking poor unless someone is inbound....l
There’s a very strong chance Hourihane doesn’t see the season out (given our track record). If people are happy with this then fair enough but I’m not.
