Cole gave up IMO in the second half of the season for us and took the money. He might come good for the right club, but not us. He couldn't wait to move on. He's literally done nothing since.
Cole no chance, didn't look bothered for half the season. Had a lucky random spell at the start of the season, then the goals dried up. Far better out there for less money.
He spoke about making a bad decision when he first decided not to stay with us and how he wouldn't make that same decision. Then goes on and does it again. If we hadn't picked him up that second time, reckon he would be playing non league football now. Not sure how many chances he needs before he puts a full seasons shift and right attitude in. Completely agree with you, not for us.
I'd take him back was great at the high press in duffs side and scored plenty under Duff and Collins. Doubt he would come back was abit of a scapegoat with some fans here.
I remember telling the baggies fans on their forum not to expect much from him but got the " now he's at a decent club" nonsense' a year on and he's gone down like a lead balloon' can't help feeling a little smug.. Its a no from me btw.
I'd say his level seems to be mid table Scottish Championship / EFL League 2. Had a lot more chances than many players do, maybe just the link to his dad.
He was our top scorer for two years. 16 goals and 15 goals. In both seasons we finished in play offs. So unless he's lost a leg while he was at west brom, I'd argue he could still do a job in league one.
Great lad who was massively misunderstood by folk who don’t know him, and just as underrated as a player. He waltzes into this team. Good luck to him in whatever he does next.
Don’t understand the ‘not good enough for this level’ jibes. He scored plenty in league one and I think he’s gonna be a real asset for someone in this league. Maybe not us, can’t see him wanting to come back here after the abuse he got last time. Mores the pity.
Been speaking to a decent sized Greek side but that was a few weeks back. And yes, I’d have him back.
He'll go wherever he can get the biggest wage/contract. No brainer for him really after a year on the sidelines. But imo needs to get his career back on track. (If only offered a short contract). Still only 30 so a good few yrs left probably. Still has a year left at wba though.
