    Its a little known fact that the word Gerrymander was coined at Oakwell in the early 90s to describe the way that Mr Taggart would meander across the pitch to take out an opposition striker when the referee wasn't looking...!

    Sorry but I don't agree, if they took the vote off all pensioners, now that might be gerrymandering. Other countries, not many I'll grant you (but including the Welsh Senned elections|) include 16 year-olds. Why should these people be excluded when they are expected to either work and pay tax or stay at school with a view to further education with it's attendant debts? Many 16 year-olds are engaged with politics but are unable to influence it. In addition to which, the 2024 election had one of the lowest turnouts ever, so any way that the numbers voting can be increased must be taken seriously.

    The Tory rules on voter-id, now THAT was gerrymandering.
