He does, just not on here. Occasional contact via Facebook. Still pissing about with cars for a living
Whitey, Dek Parker, Mario Kempes.. One is still on here obviously. George Spicer though was the funniest ever. Still enjoy the BBS, although my posting is more infrequent now.
Yeah man. i was on that. I was at uni at the time 92/93 ish. Wasnt it called topica or something? Some names i remember from some classic posts: Windy - Is there a god (still see him now and again) TheWatcher - who was doing some sort of servailance on everyone lol No1Keeper - and his battle raps with The Full Ponty Roundsman and his milkfloat and dead dog Adam Hincliffes dog turnstyles and hatmasks Full pontys - Friday Feight Neets Half of those were likely wind up accounts as well btw. But good ones. There was always someone winding folk up back then. Then it went a bit weird and a lot of good posters disappeared I dont get on as much as i used to but then BFC has slipped down the pecking order a little since they threw in the towel on building a side to challenge for things.
Paradoxically I miss Red Rain's contributions but am also glad he doesn't post anymore. He was insightful, painstakingly detailed and thorough. He was also obstinate, patronising and had an over-inflated opinion of how clever he was. As long as he's ok.... that's the main thing. Same with all ex-posters.
I thoroughly enjoyed @Red Rain's contributions and wish he was still posting. And I say that as someone who regularly argued the toss with him. But only over football, in a respectful fashion. He often highlighted things I'd not noticed, and I think, I offered him similar challenges. Makes for good debate. It's not about who is right or wrong, it's good exercise for the brain!
Quite right. It was the tone of his responses I didn't like my friend. Wish him well nevertheless - he's a Barnsley fan and he didn't come over as racist, evil etc. Just a bit condescending (mind you I bet some people on here think I'm condescending).
I see that. He definitely threw me initially. But I think it's just the way he spoke/typed. It's sad really. When you think, you have great discussion with someone you've never met, for years and years, and then nowt. A shame. Certainly agree though, I hope he's well and still following the Reds.
Does anyone remember a poster called Jonathan from around 2005-2007ish? He was a bit of a nut job. I was on here from around 2004/2005 season under my old user name jack_of_tykes. Miss YN and Hemsworth for the comedy value.
Did we ever discover who The Watcher was? Weirdly, I deleted a load of useless data the other night to free up space on a USB hard drive I have lying about. I was half-tempted to keep the set of BBS top trump cards but decided to be ruthless as the culprit was long-forgotten. A few days later, he gets a mention!
I've not heard of most of the people mentioned on here lol, but then again I haven't been on here as long as most of you.
