    Day one Jon fan personally.

I particularly like those who used to slag him off, who now say “he’s better in an attacking role because defensively he’s a disaster”. Of course he’s better in his natural position. I’m sure DKD wouldn’t look as good playing centre half. Also, Russell’s defensive contributions were the best of the midfielders (including holding midfielders Connell and Nwakali) and rivalled actual defenders.

Poor from the club. Firstly, playing him out of position and then allowing his contract to get to 12 months left.

If we were in for a 24-year-old midfielder, 6’4” tall, who had scored 11 and created four goals, with the best defensive stats for a midfielder at his club in the third tier, fans would be creaming themselves and the club would be paying a lot of money.

They also haven’t said they won’t continue to fund in fact he said they will continue to put money in where needed.

Bit like Cole, compared to Norwood he was crap according to some a year on he is a world beater, never ceases to amaze me the seemingly need of some to scapegoat a player

It’s an opinions game. That’s my go-to phrase whenever I read something I find to be utter drivel.

I went to an Evening with Mick McCarthy around November time.I was talking to this fella about football in general but he told me 100% Sheffield Wednesday are in big trouble and administration is probably the route they'll have to take.I think I may have posted a few details at the time.

For the year to 2023 SWFC had turnover of £19.3m and a wage bill of £15.8m (82%)

For the same year BFC were £9.5m turnover and £9.3m wages (98%).

A wasted year of football probably secured his family’s future with the money he earns eh?

Agree. People are far too serious, as though it's life & death. You're having a bit of banter with mates or fans from a local football club, lighten the **** up.

From that season they had 5 of the top 10 highest wage earners in league 1.

    Bannan
    Windlass
    Palmer
    Patterson
    Iorfa

All of those 5 are still.on their wage bill.

To put wage bills in context for that year, Ipswich paid £20m and Derby £17.2m, Plymouth who won the league had a wage bill of £9m Bolton £13m and Peterborough £8m.

Is it too early to see what the wage bills were for last season 24/25?

Wondered where we sit in the wages table.
