On our radar again according to South London press. Out of contract at Millwall and they don't seem to have an interest in re-signing him.

    Could do a lot worse.........

It's mentioned in the rumours thread that we've enquired but it's a non starter.

    Ah OK thanks.

Bigger picture here though seems to be we are still looking for a No 1 keeper, assuming he wouldn't have been coming to keep the bench warm.

So new no 1, leave Smith & Flavell to fight it out for second spot and loan out the other? Which is fine with me as neither really impressed me during their cameos last season. Wouldn't want either starting as No 1 (yet).

I think Flavell is likely to go out and get experience, given he's just signed a long term deal. He's got the potential to be a top keeper, but he's still a bit raw.

Smith is a strange one as we signed him just a year after he'd signed permanently at Walsall, so we clearly rate him quite highly. The plan seemed to be to send him out on loan last season, but barring an emergency loan at Grimsby, there didn't appear to be any takers. Then he got injured when he finally did make his debut for us. I can't see us going with him as first choice, and I actually prefer Flavell, but I don't see him going out on loan either.

That's just what it said in the tweet that's linked in another thread. I believe it's a journalist from down that way who's said it.

    This was the exact tweet

Millwall open to all options - loan and permanent - as they look to bring in a goalkeeper this summer.

They rate Lukas Jensen really highly so tricky position to fill when it could only be relatively short term.

Jensen out after rupturing his Achilles. Liam Roberts, out of contract this summer, has attracted interest from Barnsley but doesn't sound like that is a goer.

No thank you. There are better options out there rather than bringing back someone who didn't want to stay.

Another one I'd think is out of our range. Reckon we need to realise that unless some sales are made for decent sized fees we'll be shopping on a lower budget.

Doesn't sound like Barnsley is a go'er....because they have offered £4.60 over three years.

Well we tried 5 last season that weren't a patch on him. Even after his injury when his form dipped. We ain't going nowhere without a decent keeper.

Right. Surely we could have bettered Mansfields offer in which case we presumably weren't in for him. Which either means a) we have a better option lined up or b) we are going with Flavell or Smith.

Really really hope it isn't b.....

We're in for Owen Goodman apparently, from Palace. Highly rated.
