Yeah bit of 'slight of hand' by the club me thinks. Just happened to be announced on the close of the window evening.. "Aye looks over here! Don't look that way..
It's just (as usual) an idea that isn't very well thought through. Whatever it is that interests you enough for you to take the time to vote on it, be that your MP or a performer on strictly, the least you want in return is to experience the winner of that vote. With this, we can't, as we can't go in the tunnel. Photos in the tunnel isn't a bad idea, but voting for something we don't have access to. Well, it's a new one on me. We could all vote and they could just paint the tunnel magnolia and we'd never know.
Big picture of the 1912 squad Picture of Redfearn kissing the badge v Bolton Picture of Tommy Taylor. Any picture which shows a packed Oakwell. Picture of Alan Little covered in mud stood next to a pristine Trevor Brooking for West Ham. There's loads....
We haven't had too many good moments and we live off them too much. What about a lovely sunrise ushering in the dawn of a new era.
It’s not about us experiencing it though is it. Hourihane has explained he wants to create a new environment for the players and the pictures are ultimately there to give the players something to aspire to. Why should someone at the club pick those moments when it’s us fans who were there. It’s us who connected with those players or cheered in those moments. This is a good idea in my book. We all want positive change, so let’s embrace it.
I was on the special - got bricked when it pulled up on an embankment just outside Boro. Lively walk to & from Ayresome Park
