    Far too good a talent to pass away and not have a thread.

    Ahead of his time, led a multiracial and mixed gender group creating sounds that fused soul, jazz, rock and funk.

    God knows how he made it to his 80's but in his pomp he shook popular culture and they'll undoubtedly be dancing to the music in the other world.
