Brad Collins in 2022 was the last permanent Goalkeeper we had to start a season.
3 years to find a permanent NO:1 keeper lolz

Isn't it just, I can't believe in 3 years there hasn't been a keeper on a free good enough to get in.

We'd be better making a call to Saul Goodman, he'd certainly assist the defence.

    Note. 2 good young prospects.

Definitely a priority imo. Probably the main position you have to fulfil with quality. For the rest of the team to have confidence in.

I would be gutted if we let Wycombe beat us to a signing like Paudie. Not sure we are in for him or not but we should be, could have a real partnership with Paudie and Shepherd with roberts as cover.

Again, this just feels like a typical early pre-season, player A is linked with team X, though team Y and Z are also interested, unsubstantiated rumour. I can't see us signing O'Connor but that's about the 8th club he's been linked with in the last month.

Agreed, but people on here are blaming the club, and Mladen specifically, based on unsubstantiated rumors. Look at the comments about possible goalkeepers, even though the club has said nothing.

Personally I disagree. The two young keepers are perfectly capable for league 1 level. The defence in front of them clearly isn’t because we’ve conceded loads regardless of who the goalkeeper was.

We’ve also not scored enough on a regular and consistent basis, have a midfield that, despite being good individually, can’t play together, a lack of pace, and a shortage of creative and effective wide players.

If we have a rubbish season it won’t be because of the keepers but because of the wide ranging deficiencies elsewhere. So we should give them a chance to show their worth.

The scoring isn't a problem, only 5 teams scored more than us in league 1.
The problem is the defence, only 4 teams conceded more than us.

Totally agree about the defence. That is priority number 1.

But we’re likely to lose DKD and Phillips this summer, and Humphreys is out of contract. I’m not sure we have players to score the goals those three did. To replace those goals is going to cost money - which is at short supply, and shorter if we spend it on positions that aren’t a priority.

That's rubbish RZ. Any successful team has a good keeper they alone can win you points through out the season.
Two good young prospects..? Well I agree with the Two young prospects bit.. good, not from what I witnessed last season. They both really need to up their game.

It's from Peter O'Rourke he's usually quite accurate.

    Roberts has officially left Millwall

Edit: strong rumours he's going to Mansfield.

Crikey, surely we could offer him a better deal than Mansfield? He’d be ideal as a permanent option on a free.

    Loved Robbo.

If we brought him back, I’d have increased faith in the club’s direction of travel.

Intriguing summer of recruitment and sales ahead. You’d imagine things will start to become public in the next couple of weeks, prior to the squad’s return for pre-season training.

We probably can offer him a better deal than Mansfield.

But the main point is if the club actually really wants him or not
