To be fair to Russell he does look likes hes improved on his finishing, but the role he played in before was so unsuited to him with his back to goal. He still has the same weaknesses and takes too many touches but he plays higher up now which suits him more.

True. Only way a young player improves is by playing competitive games. Either here or on loan. If vimal, flavell, jalo etc or any young player won't get much game time I'd like us to try loan them out to league 2 and get them the experience. Looks to have done shepard well.
If Vimal doesn't fit into Conor's plans for this season we could do worse than loan him back to Oldham for a tilt at the next level. Maybe with a half-term recall clause.

Not quite true imho ,when he first arrived he played bit parts as a winger in his first few seasons here and didn't look much cop it was only after Melvin converted him to a fullback that he started to shine and from then on most fans got behind him ........sithi.
