Says in the Chron that he still loves Barnsley. Backs Conor to be a great coach,as do Hammill and George Williams

I really rated Marley, one of my favourite players that season but seemed only to be on the fringe of the team most of the time.

He was a bit in & out in league one as Fletcher took his spot when Watkins got injured & played that well he was undroppable but he started pretty much every game when fit in the championship either out wide or up front.

One of them really useful players. He could fit into any system. Could play out wide in a 4 or wide in a front 3 or as a central striker.

Like Dominik Frieser. Never going to get POTY, but leave a massive hole in the team when they move on.

The club have just shared the highlights of our 4-3 win over Cardiff in 16/17. The winning goal by Ryan Williams epitomises Marley Watkins in a nutshell. One of the most underrated players we've had in my time watching us. Forwards are often judged by their goal return, but without someone doing the spade work like Watkins used to, you wouldn't have got half the goals we did out of the likes of Winnall, Fletcher and Bradshaw.

What a side we had then. Some of the counter attacking play there was top drawer. That Winnall headed goal has to be one of the best I’ve ever seen.
