Pearson and Power would be two very solid signings for the level. As ever, the test for anyone is what they have up top. Be interested to see who Bradford get in that area.
Anyway. It's about who we sign. Hourihane looks to have some swagger. It's about time we focussed on us. I'm behind him.
We, like of late, appear to like playing players out of their natural position. Pearson was Like a fish out of water for me, (playing him at full back). Shame Adam Jackson isn't available. Very underrated and (Probably get shot down) played second fiddle to Liam lindsay. But for me the better player.
Great point about position play. When we have a balanced squad, not sticking square pegs in round holes. Invariably we do well. Regardless of the skill set. (At this level).
I agree about Pearson at full back. It would’ve been good to see him at centre back for a sustained period of time for us. Regarding Jackson I quite liked him but for me personally, Lindsay was the better player. I think him going on to play 150+ games at championship level whilst Jackson has continued on at league 1 level kind of backs that up too.
Fairly sure I called that on here when there was a thread about the Huddersfield released players. Seems quite an obvious one really.
Surely you are not that bothered we haven't signed Matty Pearson? A 31 year old with no pace being tasked to play in a back 4 wanting to play a high press game. It would be suicidal
This is my point about Lofthouse. brought him back but how many times did he play his natural position.. Cotter at No9 had to be the roundest peg in a not round hole this season.
Bradford's Shepherd replacement signs for Doncaster: https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...ield-town-and-barnsley-fc-centre-half-5174995
Mmmm.. We need outgoings.. but we can only move on players that other clubs actually want Bet Shepherd ends up at VP.
I actually think if they sign Pearson they have done much better than signing Sheperd . Will do a job in league 1 . Free signing too. Ah just seen he signs for Donny ,good deal for them.
