    We had a player waving at the ref asking for the foul and they scored a few seconds later. Play to the whistle.

    So booking wise , him hammering the ball into the net well after the whistle is different to Russell carrying the ball two or three steps how?

    Explain that one. Russell is booked for delaying the restart, correctly so given he did kick the ball away, even if he did get a nudge in the back. Wareham smashes the ball into the net well after the whistle has gone, but he's not booked. Okay, there's been a round of subs in the meantime, but how's that not the same.
